Parking Information • On the street parking may be difficult to find as it is a congested area. • Orange Funeral Stickers: can be picked up from Church of the Ascension starting at 8:30 am at 104 Park Avenue, New York. There will be a person outside distributing them. Put them on your car dashboard to help avoid tickets. But you still must pay for metered parking and follow parking rules such as no double parking. • Paid Parking in order of recommendation: -Municipal Lot#11 across from FoodTown Marketplace and near the Metro North train tracks; 24 hour metered parking at $0.75 per hour. Bring quarters or download the Pango App for Zone 66002. Entrance is on East Prospect Avenue. Exit on Park Avenue. Just one block from the church. -Municipal Lot #8 on East Prospect and North Third Avenues, across from the Mt. Vernon Parking Bureau. Use only the metered parking spots on the 2nd level; all other spots are permit only. 24 hour metered parking at $0.75 per hour. Bring quarters or download the Pango App for Zone 66002. Just two blocks from the church. -Do NOT park in Municipal Lot #17 opposite the church. You will be towed.
